Set up your first workspace
Choose a template, give the workspace a purpose, and test one useful process.
Start with a process you can finish
Choose a small process with a recognizable beginning, a clear decision, and evidence at the end. Receiving one material, approving one work package, or reviewing one result is a useful starting point.
Use sample information while evaluating. Decide what a successful run should prove before adding more departments or record types.
- Name the person doing the work and the person reviewing it.
- Identify the source instruction, the records involved, and the required outcome.
- Include one blocked or exceptional path in your evaluation.
Shape the workspace
- Open the free sandbox and choose the industry template closest to your operation, or begin with your own model.
- Review the supplied record types, relationships, terminology, and workflows. Keep the useful parts; adapt the rest to your organization.
- Create sample records and connect them using their record references.
- Run the process from its starting record, then inspect the resulting history and evidence.
Check the difficult path
Try a missing attachment, an out-of-range observation, a user without approval authority, and an outdated reference. The result should make the unmet requirement understandable and provide a path to resolve it.
Before moving to live work, agree ownership, access, migration scope, training, validation needs, and support. Keep evaluation data separate from operational records.
